Argos 4-H Dog Club

Argos Dog Club is a 4-H club based out of Topsfield MA/Essex County. Our members range in age from 6-18 and share a common passion of dogs. We participate in MA and NH fairs, shows, community service and other 4H educational events and camps across the state. As junior handlers we are learning and practicing positive training methods to build positive partnerships and trusting bonds with our dogs. Through our 4-H journey, we are developing confidence, leadership, teamwork and goals setting skills. 4-H provides many opportunities to practice public speaking and give visual presentations at 4-H local and state levels. In our group dog training sessions, we learn the foundations of dog handling and companion dog sports. In our meetings we explore dog care/health, first aid, dog breeds, dog behavior, and public education about dog safety. Some of our members also go on to train and compete in a variety of dog sports and shows.
